General Motors recently announced plans for drastic budget reductions to survive the downturn in the U.S. market. Proposed measures include fast-tracking the closure of four truck plants and slashing the budget for salaried employees by 20 per cent. CBC Radio One's Metro Morning guest host Jane Hawtin spoke with Everest Management's Matt Standish about the possible impact of the projected cuts on the GTA's white collar labour force.
