Our client, a global manufacturer of systems for specialty vehicles with 10 major facilities in 6 countries is seeking a Supply Chain Manager in the York, PA area – Manage Purchasing as well as Customer Service, Technical, Shipping and Receiving teams (about 15-20) – Plan and maintain daily supply chain operations for critical suppliers or customers in materials, production, inventory, logistics, customer service, demand management, or order fulfilment – Ensure internal and external customers’ expectations and requirements are met – MANAGE AND CONTROL INVENTORY – MANAGE SUPPLIES PLANNING – SCHEDULING FOR WAREHOUSE AND SHIPPING – SUPERVISES THE SELECTION AND ORDERING OF MATERIAL FROM VENDORS UTILIZING VARIOUS ARTICLES OF COMMERCE AND EXPERIENCE – COMMUNICATES WITH SUPPLIERS REGARDING CHANGES IN SPECIFICATIONS, CHANGE OF ORDERS, QUANTITIES, AND ADJUSTMENTS – CONTACTS LOGISTICS CARRIERS TO ARRANGE TRANSPORTATION OF PURCHASES – AUTHORIZES PAYMENT OF INVOICES OR RETURN OF MATERIALS – CHECKS THE MAITENANCE OF PURCHASE ORDERS, INVOICES, RECEIVING RECORDS IN THE SYSTEM – NEGOTIATES WITH SUPPLIERS – MUST BE A GOOD LEADER – MUST BE ABLE TO SUPERVISE DEPARTMENT STAFF- STRONG NEGOTIATOR- WITH PROVEN COST SAVINGS RECORD – WOULD LIKE TO SEE: COLLEGE DIPLOMA IN RELATED FIELD – EXPERIENCE IN THE FIELD OR IN RELATED AREA AS PURCHASING OR MATERIAL MANAGER – P.Eng., CQE, CQM, CPP, CHRP – good ERP Management Skills
